How to choose the best glue?
No glue works the same for everyone!
Glue is not universal; each adhesive has its own properties and should be used in different conditions. The same glue used by me will have a different reaction when used by you or another professional. But what defines proper glue usage?
First step:
Analyze temperature and humidity variations in the space with a HYGROMETER. Your environment needs to be in harmony with the chosen adhesive's conditions. An adhesive with a range of 40-70% humidity in a 30% environment would be slower. In a 75% environment, it would be even faster. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL....
The HUMIDITY in the space significantly affects the glue's drying speed, so it's essential to use a hygrometer to monitor the humidity in your workspace.
TEMPERATURE, along with humidity, is also a factor that influences the glue. Higher temperatures will make the glue more viscous, while lower temperatures will make it more liquid.
Having an air conditioner can be a good alternative to help control temperature, but this does not eliminate the need for constant monitoring of the temperature values indicated for your glue. If a glue is rated between 18-24º, it means the ideal temperature is around 22º. At higher temperatures (>24º), the glue will become more viscous, leading to excess and stickiness, and at lower temperatures (<18º), the glue will become more fluid, affecting drying or causing the lashes to slip.
Second step:
Drying time of glue according to the manufacturer
The moment when the artificial lash adheres to the natural lash!
For more advanced techniques requiring a fast bonding time, look for times between <0.5s and 1s. For techniques that require more bonding time, consider glues with times between 1s and 2s. Proper use is essential to avoid false bonding. A false bond will cause those lashes to detach when combed or in the first few days.
Third step:
Suitable size: 3ml; 5ml; 10ml?
The choice is directly related to the flow of clients you expect to serve.
As a reference, 1 ml contains an average of 20 drops. Now calculate how many drops you use per client....
In addition to the flow of clients you serve, you should also pay attention to the expiration date of the glues, as most eyelash glues have a shelf life of 1 to 2 months after opening; check this information in the product description.
